Perunthalaivar K. Kamarajar’s Birthday Celebration -15.07.2026

The birth anniversary of Perunthalaivar K. Kamarajar “KALVI VALARCHI NAAL” was celebrated with great enthusiasm in the school campus on July 15th, 2026, to honour the legacy of the “Kingmaker” and the “Kalvi Thanthai” of Tamil Nadu.

The event commenced with Thamizh Thaai Vaazhthu and Welcome Address was delivered by Mrs. Rajathi C (HOD of Tamil Department), who warmly greeted the gathering.

The celebration began with the lighting of the lamp, followed by garlanding the portrait of Kamarajar by the Chief Guest Mr.Tamilselvam K. Ramalinga Jothi M.Sc., M.A., President of Kaviyarasu Kanadasan Pasarai, presided by Mr P. Senthil Kumar B.E., M.B.A., Committee member of Thiruthangal Nadar Vidhyalaya.

The Chief Guest who graced the event with his presence and inspiring words in his address and spoke about Kamarajar and motivated the students to follow his ideals, work hard & value education.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of the “Overall Trophy”, a symbol of all-round excellence conducted by “Avvai Kalai Kazhagam”. Based on cumulative scores our school won the Overall Trophy.

On occasion of Kamarajar’s birthday, our school organized an inter-school competition. A total of 292 students participated. Revoor Padmanabha Chetty’s Matriculation Higher Secondary School has received Overall Championship for Junior Level, Sri Sankara Vidya Kendra Higher Secondary School has received Overall Championship for Senior Level.

The program included speeches and cultural performances, all reflecting the values & importance of Kamarajar’s role in the country’s global development.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Mrs. T. Nithya Kala (HOD of Computer Science Department), who appreciated the efforts of all participants and expressed gratitude to the chief guest followed by the singing of the National Anthem.
