SWACHHATA SHAPATH DAY

The students of Std III to V presented a small program in morning assembly on 01.09.2018. They took the pledge for keeping the country clean and fulfilling Bapu’s Vision of clean India. They told 10 easy methods to keep our country & surrounding clean.

Swachhata Awareness Day

To highlight the importance of cleanliness and sanitation among children, parents and teachers had to encourage and inspire them for hygiene and sanitation in schools as well as home.
Swachhata Awareness Day [04.09.2018] was conducted inside the school campus.
Teachers from Social Science department inspected sanitary facilities in each and every corner of institution and also made a proposal to maintain the facilities regarding health and hygiene. Extensive cleaning of toilets, kitchen, classrooms, fans, windows, bushes in the campus and surrounding areas were thoroughly checked.
The School staff members and students were instructed to maintain the cleanliness inside the school campus. The importance about cleanliness was well explained to the students in detail.
The students also motivated by the Swachhata Awareness Program and they promised that they will keep the environment clean and healthy. They started to be cautious about health and hygiene after the awareness of Swachhata and understood both are related to each other.

GREEN SCHOOL DRIVE

Swachhatta Pathwada is a significant initiative under the Swachh Bharat mission. On September 5, 2018, our school observed Green School Drive. The students of classes VI to VIII brought saplings and planted them, in and around the school campus.
Students stressed the need to grow trees and the vital role played by the trees in their speech in the morning assembly.

SWACHHATA PARTICIPATION DAY

On 6th September 2018, our school observed Swachhata participation day. Debate and Quiz were conducted on topics related to cleanliness and hygiene. Debate was conducted in three different Languages like Hindi, English, and Tamil.
Students prepared well and made their arguments with confidence .The quiz consist of 3 rounds covering topics like Swatchh Bharath mission and general cleanliness. The students showcased their talents as well as learnt the value of cleanliness.

HAND WASH DAY

Hand washing day was celebrated on 7th September. It is a campaign to motivate the students to improve the handwashing habits. It is dedicated to raise awareness of handwashing with soap as a key factor in disease prevention.
Our UKG students enthusiastically performed a skit on “Cleanliness is next to Godliness” by demonstrating the proper ways of hand was and steps to be followed during the hand wash. This simple behaviour can save many lives.

PERSONAL HYGIENE DAY

The Personal Hygiene Day was celebrated by the Pre-primary department in our school on 11th September 2018. Our star performers of class I & II presented a fabulous role play to bring out the importance of personal hygiene. They took the roles of tooth brush, comb and a soap each, and explained its significance
Students were shown videos on the Digiboard in the first period and were also issued pamphlets to enhance their personal hygiene.

Swachh Water Day

Swachh water day was conducted in our school on 11.09.2018 to create awareness among the students to use purified water for drinking purpose.
The process involved in removing the chloride ions from water is called Desalination. This desalination plant can be installed in schools & colleges.

WATER HARVESTING DAY

Water harvesting day was conducted on 10th September 2018 in our school. Students have explained about the sources & impact of water pollution by using mathematical terms & pie-chart.
From that students came to know the percentage of water that has been polluted and people affected by the disease.
Saving water is the duty for each and every individual. So, this day has been celebrated to teach the value and importance of water to the children.

LETTER WRITING DAY

In adherence to the cleanliness drive for Swachh Bharat – Swachhata Pakhwada, 1st to 15th of September 2018 various activities were conducted in our school. With reference to it was the “Letter Writing Day”.
All the IX std students participated and wrote a letter to their parents regarding what they have learnt in the past few days and what they want their parents to do. Some of them were documented and sent to MHRD.

SWACHHATA HI SEVA MOVEMENT

With reference to the Swachhata Hi Seva movement on 15th September, a video conference programme by our Honorable Prime Minister
Shri. Narendra Modi connected with the Clean India Mission was watched by our students from 9.30 am to 11.00 am. It was to strengthen the efforts to create a Swachh Bharat.
People from different states interacted with him including Students, Jawans, Amitabh Bhachan, Sadhguru, Ratan Tata, Army personnel and Yogi Adityanath. Our students watched & had an awareness on the idea “Clean & Green is our perfect dream”.
