Clean India! Healthy India

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is a Clean India drive and mission launched as a national campaign by the Indian Government. In our school, Swachh Bharat awareness programme was conducted on 03 Sept 2019. To highlight that, keeping our environment clean, our Pre-primary students Sujan, Ashmitha, Sai Akshaya Sri & Sanjana of class II performed a skit on Swachh Awareness program in Tamil and it was trained by Mrs. Uma Eswari M.A., B.Ed., M.Phil.

Children came out with their sparkling performance and insisted that it is the duty of everyone to follow the cleanliness from them first and then for their environment.

They concluded with a oath that next year we will definitely celebrate the success of Swachh Bharat.

Today [04.09.2019] Swachh pledge was taken by classes LKG to XII. The programme was conducted by students of class IX B and organized by Mrs. L.Shyamala  B.Com.,B.Sc.,M.F.M,B.Ed,  Academic Coordinator [High School] & Mrs. Hemalatha M.A., M.Phil, B.Ed., (Ph.d)

In that pledge, our students promised they will devote 100 hours per year that is two hours per week, to voluntarily work for cleanliness.

On regard to Swachh Bharat Swachhata Pakhwada, Today [06.09.19] our school organized an assembly activity on “Hand Hygiene”. A demo activity was shown by Senior Secondary students on the effective 6 steps of hand washing.
Students during break time were allowed to practice the various steps of hand washing using liquid soap solutions, so as to bring awareness among them about hand wash and personal hygiene.

“Plant a tree even if it is your last deed”

On account of Swachh Bharat, we initiated plant saplings by our KG children. We, the KG department collected plant saplings from all the classes .In a motive to inculcate the habit of growing trees, we made the children themselves to plant the sapling, which was a great experience for them. They were thrilled, since it was a new experience.

All the children were insisted upon the importance of growing more trees and their benefits. We are delighted that we inculcated in the minds of our young buds about planting trees and taking care of them.
