80th Independence Day Celebration

The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with great patriotic spirit and enthusiasm at our school on 15 August 2026. The programme began with the arrival of the chief guest, the vice president of Thiruthangal Nadar vidhyalaya,Thiru. M. Selva kumar and the Presiding Person, treasurer of Thiruthangal Nadar Academy, Thiru.V. Kannan. They were received with a Guard of Honor, followed by an impressive rhythmic beat by the school band , setting a tone of discipline and pride for the day’s proceedings. The celebration commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by our chief guest, followed by the singing of the flag song and Tamil thai vazhthu. Ms. Yuthika Shree, Asst. school pupil leader welcomed the gathering. The chief guest and the presiding person were honoured with a shawl and memento a mark of respect and gratitude. Prizes were distributed for the students who have excelled in academics, sports, co-curricular activities and various competitions.
The students presented a variety of programmes, including fancy dress, bommalattam, Tamil song on unity, dance to reduce wastes, policy presentation and folk dance. The Chief Guest delivered an inspiring speech highlighting the importance of freedom, unity, discipline and responsible citizenship. The presiding person also shared his insightful thoughts with the students to become responsible citizens. Vote of thanks was proposed by master Rathan, school pupil leader expressing heartfelt gratitude to everyone worked for the grand success of the event. The celebration ended with the National anthem. The celebration not only instilled a sense of national pride but also fostered a deeper understanding of our country’s glorious past and bright future.
