Pongal Celebration – 13.01.2017 (Friday)

Pongal celebration in our school started with a welcome address and followed by pongal preparations on 13.01.2017 (Friday).

Pongal, the traditional food offering of the festival was started by lighting of fire by the Board Members.

Students of Thiruthangal Nadar Vidhyalaya presented colourful cultural programs. The highlight of the cultural was “kummi”, presented by Board Members, Principal and Teachers. Their participation made the cultural more lively.

Various traditional games were conducted for Students and Board Members. The winners were honored with garland & prizes.

In our school, Kids zone was decorated as a village. It was really amazing. The food, the village atmosphere, the landlord of the village, the goats, the cow, the calf and the village household things were exhibited. It was autumn presentation.

After vote of thanks, the pongal was distributed among the students and teachers who left for home with the warm sweets after taste of pongal.
