LIBRARY WEEK CELEBRATION 2023-2024

Famously called as an Architect of the Public Library Movement in India, Shri Ayyanki Venkata Ramanaiah, secretary, Andhra Pradesh Library Association organised an All India Library Meeting on 12th November, 1912 in Madras. The meeting lead to the formation of Indian Library Association (ILA). Later, ILA gave prominence to the 12th November meeting and declared 14th November as National Library Day. This was also the Birth day of our former Prime Minister Shri. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. Since 1968, 14th – 20th November are celebrated as National Library Week all over India.

Our school also organised a lot of competitions for the students on this occasion. The following competitions were conducted on the days (14th Nov – 20th Nov).

Students from class 3 to 12 enthusiastically participated in the competitions.
Nearly 1489 students were participated in the competition.
The competitions were conducted during Library Period for all the classes.
