The headwords publishing company conducted a workshop in Sunshine SSM Secondary School , Chrompet, on the topic “FUN WITH SCIENCE EXPERIMENTS”on 9th November 2024, which was attended by teachers of science department Mrs.Kavitha of Middle school and Mrs.J.Sivasankari and Mrs.V.Iswarya of Primary compartment.
The workshop projected on understanding concepts through science experiments. The workshop was presided by Dr.T.S.Natarajan, Former professor of Physics, IIT (Madras /Tirupati), Dr.R.SrinivasaRaghavan and Dr.UthraDhorairajan. The workshop was very interactive and engaged the participants throughout the session. The highlighting part of the workshop was imparting knowledge on simple experiments that can be conducted
within our class rooms. Thus the session made learning more engaging, relevant and effective.
KARUNA CLUB work shop was conducted by Vivekananda Vidhyalaya,Thiruvottriyuron 16th November2024. Our school teachers Mrs. Sheela, Mrs. Dilli Rani, Mrs. Suganthi and Mrs. Yamuna Rani attended the training programme. The topic for the workshop was “THE FUTURE OF HUMANEDUCATION;CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES.Various areas were discussed to improve Knowledge, Skills or attitude. Morning session was conducted byMr.Praful Kumar Nahata. B.Comand afternoon session was about “ANIMAL WELFARE AND ENVIRONMEMNTAL ISSUES”. It was conducted by Mrs. IndumathiUmesh. MBA, HR.Our teachers Mrs. DilliRani,Mrs. Suganthi,Mrs. Yamuna Rani and Mrs. Sheelagave active participation. Participation certificate was given to all the teachers.
The Hindi workshop was conducted on 19.10.2024 at venue Hotel Abu palace. The Resource person of the workshop was Mrs. Anitha Thomar..It was about NEW EDUCATION POLICY 2020 (NEP). It was from Primary level teaching to Higher secondary. The Explanation was about the method of teaching and how it should reach the students. Art Integrated Learning like poster making, drama etc were briefed. It was insisted that the experimental learning should also be implemented by touching the letters through Reading. 5 stepped learning process like Introduction about the topic, conceptual understanding, practice, application and expansion was included in the NCF. Apart from that Group activities were conducted for all the teachers in the worshop. The workshop concluded with information on the first aid. The vote of thanks was given by Mr. Naveen Gupta .
The Workshop enlightened us with the Variant thinking ability of the children to approach the solution in a distinguishable way. Proving Theorems through GeoGebra is a visual treat for the learners which pave the easy way for the children to solve image based problems in many competitive exams. The program ended with a doubt clarification session in which the resource person revealed the tricks for the questions he put forth during the session.

Science Olympiad foundation in association with Industrial waste management association (IWMA) organized a Science workshop about the environmental awareness and climate change. The Workshop was presided by prof Venkataraman senior research scientist in IIT. He briefly discussed about the causative agents of air pollution and its adverse effects. Most of the diseases are caused due to human impact on the environment. A discussion was made about the scenario of future India. The programme was continued by Dr B Chandra Sekaran distinguished scientist & former director, CLRI on discussion about the usage of Microplastics, e-wastes, arsenic for purification of water etc. The Programme ended by distributing the prizes for SOF competitions held on 27th July & 28th July 2024.
Mrs.Bhavani ACO-Senior Secondary attended an offline workshop on Artificial Intelligence-[843] on 22/7/24 (Monday) between 10.00am to 4.00pm at Bala Vidhya Mandir Senior Secondary School, Adyar. Resource persons Mr.Anand and Mr.Debasish elaborated the changes in the class XI Artificial Intelligence [843] curriculum and conducted activities for teachers on Image Recognition. Participants are introduced to the IBM Skill builder platform to access various courses and to complete the course.

PET department conducted workshop on 6/6/24[Thursday], on the topic ‘First Aid’. PET Staff P Karthick and P Pallavi explained about different types of injuries with the Powerpoint presentation and demonstrated how different types of injuries should be treated specifically, as bandage should be wrapped for sprain and ointment should be applied for wounds and cuts, as the First Aid. They also explained what should be done and should not be done during the Nose bleeding. They conducted games, I which all staff participated sportively and enthusiastically. Overall it was a useful and refreshing session.

Workshop on Multiple Intelligence in Classroom conducted by Computer Science department on 6.6.24 for teachers.Multiple intelligences refers to a theory describing the different ways students learn and acquire information .This workshop helps teachers to identify the students’ intelligence whether they are Naturalistic, Musical, Logical–mathematical, Existential, Interpersonal, Linguistic, Bodily–kinesthetic, Intra–personal or Spatial intelligence and in turn helps students to develop their skills. Various activities are conducted to all the teachers to identify their intelligence and show their creativity.They all took part in it enthusiastically.These kind of activities in Classroom will be helpful for teachers to identify students intelligence and make students to learn quickly.

A Workshop on Integrated Practical Life Skills was conducted by the KG Department on 05 June,2024.
This Program enlightened that life skills are the need of the hour to empower the today’s younger generation. The program started with warm up session and a brief enact was done on the concept “CHILDREN THEN AND CHILDREN NOW” to show the difference and made everyone take a moment to understand where do our children stand. Cognitive skills, gross motor skills and stress buster activities were part of the workshop. The session started with Prayer Song and warm up activity to make the teachersfeel stress free . ‘Stress Free’ teachers can only make their classroom happy. To achieve our objectives, we conducted Quiz and Puzzle games for all the department teachers, Colour game for HOD’s and Picture game for ACO’s. Winners were awarded by compliments. These activities made everyone understand how a small activity can make our classroom happy and help us to achieve learning outcomes without stress. Overall the session went on well.
Hindi Department conducted workshop on the topic “Class room Management”. The session started with a warm up tongue twisters activity to boost up the teachers and to make them to understand before starting the class they can make the students energetic to pay attention. Next a role play on the PTA meeting was played to identify various categories of parents and also to understand the different levels of students depending upon their mental ability. Then the teaching methodologies were explained by the resource persons Mrs. Rajarathinam, Mrs.Ranjana Thakur and Mrs.Chamundeswari with the songs. Meditation session was conducted by Mrs. DilliRani.At last activities were conducted based on the word building and the next day prizes were distributed to the winners. Programme ended by thanking all the participants for their cooperation and support.

The Workshop threw knowledge on the special needs in inclusive education.
Introduction of Special Education, causes of multiple disabilities and principles of special education were highlighted by Ms.Pavithra.
Definition of Inclusive education, its importance & benefits of Inclusive Education were explained by Mrs.Rubini and also a video clip was played based on this topic.
Causes and types of learning disabilities and remedies for the same were detailed by Ms.Yasmin.
Various enlightening activities like patient level activity, hand and foot coordination activity were conducted.
All the teachers eagerly participated and it was very informative.
The session was finally concluded with a skit, by all the teachers of Pre-Primary department
Art Integration workshop was conducted by the Art Teachers. The main focus of the session was to integrate art with other subjects and make it more efficient and sustainable one.
Various hands on experience were demonstrated to the teachers like Eco Friendly Lamp making,Paper Mache- bowl making & a deep knowledge about basic colors.
Also tips were given to the teachers to make pattern designs on a Pillow cover using the readily available things like fabric glue & Paint.

The workshop has been conducted by the teachers of Science Department on the topic “Effective Teaching Aids” on 31/5/24. Mentors used subject wise various teaching aids to demonstrate effectiveness of teaching aids in the regular classrooms. In between teachers from other departments were called randomly to pick any one of the teaching aids from the display to demonstrate the concept from their subject. Teachers actively participated throughout the session and made the session more lively.

A workshop on the topic “Subject Enrichment Activity” was held in Annexure II by Mrs. Sumathy.S & Mrs. Haripriya.T on 30th May 2024. The workshop threw a light on the need of subject enrichment activity, the scope to cater the needs of different learners, various activities to improve their academic skills and achieving the learning outcomes through activities. The session went interactively and teachers shared their ideas and unique activities. The teachers were involved in few Subject Enrichment Activities and the session came to a closure with a Vocabulary Race Activity held by all the teachers of English Department.

AR(Mobile App) Helps the children to view the video of our textbook lesson and book exercise will help them to learn and test.
Cyber safety and security Seminar highlighted the advantages and disadvantages of internet ,Various types of cyber crimes , how to safeguard us[Protective measures).
Government websites for cyber crime and cyber security number was given
Conclusion : The Workshop was in formative and useful to take class for student .Especially the app was user friendly to handle.
The first day seminar was started on 5th June 2023 by Mrs. Bhuvaneshwari and Mrs. Mullaimathi of English department about how to integrate art in teaching English language and make the class room interesting and informative. They used various skills like picturisation, art work and drawing. They compared the culture of Tamilnadu to West Bengal.
On 6th June the workshop was conducted by Tamil Department teachers Mrs. Kamala and Mrs.Yogeshwari like story telling, poem recitation, singing songs and games which were connected with Tamilnadu and West Bengal. It was followed in the afternoon by the Hindi Department staff Mrs. Rajarathinam and Mrs. Roseline about the usage art and culture in hindi .They started the session with tongue twisters , story telling and role play. It was very creative and interesting. Power point presentation was done and analyzes the art and culture of Tamilnadu and west Bengal.
On 3rd day, 7th June, the workshop was done by Science department teachers Mrs.Porkodi and Mrs. Kavitha. They conducted the activities like find out the taste, demo of real plants, using recycling and integrating the art with Tamilnadu and West Bengal. The HOD of social department Mrs. Velvizhi appreciated all the teachers and encouraged them.
On 8th June, the workshop was conducted by Social Department teachers Mrs. Amali, Miss. Lavanya . They were conducted the activity how to do the election and to make the children aware of politics. It gave lot of information regarding canvassing, polling and electing. They gave lot of information about the art and culture of Tamilnadu and West Bengal.
Finally on 9th June, the workshop was conducted by Maths department teachers Miss. Deepika, Mrs. Girija and Ms. Logeshwari. They worked as a team. The whole math department teachers danced ,sang song, powerpoint presentation and explained how to implement art in teaching math. They explained how math played a vital role in day today life. Finally the Maths Department HOD and high school ACO Mrs. Shyamala appreciated all the teachers and said without math nothing can be done. On the whole all the workshops were very useful and helpful to all the teachers to teach the students integrated with various skills and art.
Teachers were advised to make use of all resource like videos,quiz,MCQs,Mind map,drag and drop,games for all the subjects except Tamil.The videos and pictures were very attractive and colourful to drag the attention of the students while teaching.It was very useful,interesting and informative to develop the creative teaching skill while teaching the lesson.

The workshop was about national Educational policy and National Curriculum Framework. Their Objectives , Goals, method and techniques to be followed to make the education system effective. On the Whole the sessions were informative and appreciative by every one
On May 25,2023, Ms.Tencilen moose[Trainer] of Tata ClassEdge conducted a refreshing workshop on TestEdge software for Teachers of Thiruthangal Nadar Vidhyalaya, Chennai. The session begin with the prayer song.
Ms.Tencilen introduced the concept of TestEdge and explained how to use it effectively. The Session was handled in an interesting manner and the teacher also felt it was very useful. She explained how the Teachers resource like worksheet, question paper can be added into Tata ClassEdge Software.
The Resource person also provided hands – on training which familiarized the teachers with the product . Doubts were asked by some of the teachers about the assets and LabEdge were also cleared promptly by the trainer.The workshop concluded with doubt clarification session.

Teachers from Std I to Std XII [Maths Teachers] attended the workshop from 9.00 am. to 4.00 pm. Around 21 teachers attended the workshop. All the teachers have gained knowledge of demonstrating 35 Kits ,Vedic Maths & New concepts. The Maths Department Teachers enriched with almost all the kit usage and same will be implemented in the class. It is very useful and Informative.

The Resource persons explained about the portion deleted and included for this academic year [2022-23]. Doubts regarding the project work and competency based questions are well clarified.
The Resource person R.K.Khosla asked questions from class XII Accounting concepts from both Volume I & II. Brief and Clear Explanation regarding all the concepts of Class XII was delivered by G.S. Grewal. By attending these sessions, we can train the students according to the Guidelines provided by CBSE.

This workshop was organized by Bhavan’s Vidhyasharam Kilapauk.
The Resource person was Mrs. Gayathri. The workshop was attended by Ms. Ashwini and Mrs. Jency General discussion about syllabus, academic plan, pedagogical plan, Mapping curriculum with the defined learning outcome, Assessment tools and techniques.
Focusing on practical and application based learning, experimental learning and enhancing 21st century skills of students. This workshop enabled teachers to design experiential and application based activities to enhance the desired skills among the students. Overall it was an informative and wonderful session.
MATHEMATICS
Mathematics workshop was conducted by Mrs. Revathy Subramaniam in RMK Senior Secondary school on 15.11.2022. Ms. Deepika, Ms. Haraniya PGT of Maths Department attended the workshop
Discussion regarding Chapter wise weightage, Deleted topics, Blue print, Analyse of the sample paper, Assertion and reasoning questions and case based study questions.
Overall the workshop was productive and interesting. The session ended up with distribution of participation certificate.
CHEMISTRY
Chemistry workshop was conducted by Sri. Siva Rama Krishnan in RMK School on November 14, 2022 [Monday] . Mrs. Mahalakshmi S, PGT of Chemistry attended the workshop. Few multiple choice questions, Challenges in organic chemistry conversions and Application of formula to the numericals were discussed. Participants were made to solve HOT’s questions and frame Assertion – Reasoning questions from each chapter. The workshop was very effective for the board exam handling teachers.
BIOLOGY
Biology workshop on competency based questions and revised practical and theory syllabus was conducted by Mrs. Sudha Malini Prinicpal of RMK Senior Secondary school on 18th November 2022. Teachers from various schools participated and discussed challenges faced while teaching Biology.Chapter wise weightage and tips to prepare competency based questions to enable students to face board exams. Overall the workshop was fruitful and an eye-opener for the participants.
PHYSICS
A physics workshop was organized by RMK senior secondary school. Thiruverkadu on 16th Nov 2022. The resource person was Mr. Sivakumar, Vice Principal of P.S. Senior secondary school, Mylapore. The workshop was attended by Mrs. Eupres & Mrs. Anuradha, PGT of Science Department. General discussion about the syllabus, deleted portions for this academic and practical session was there.
The way to set a question paper based on Bloom’s Taxonomy was discussed. The participants had a great exposure with other school physics teachers. The session ended with distribution of participation certificate.
Our teachers Mrs. Sivasankari [Science teacher] Mrs. Janani [Student counsellor and Wellness Teacher] and Mrs. Mullaimathi [English teacher] attended a workshop on Personal safety for children at Smt. Durgadevi Choudhary Vivekananda Vidhyalaya, Kolathur on 15th Nov 2022.
Resource person for this workshop was Mrs. Vidhya Raghu Senior Yi member supported by Masoom (Innocence) by the team of Mr. Prathap Chandra Mohan ICEO, Dolphin Auto components.
Topics like Safety [Private, Public & Personal], Legal aspects of Child Abuse, Preventions and Precautions & awareness in children, CWC [Child Welfare Committee] in schools , POCSO Act and points to deal with situations in case of taboo situations were discussed in the worksop.
Main objective of the workshop was to connect with teachers, who interact with the students and to create awareness on “CHILD ABUSE HELPLINE NUMBER” 1098 coordinated by Youth India.
